Welcome to support forum

Welcome to new support forum.

This forum is a temporary forum. When website goes live it will be deleted and replaced with another forum because new forum will use openid for authentication instead of phpbb login system.

Website will take much longer to create than I expected. I hope to finish it before end of the year, but cannot guarantee that. If you would like to know what's going on, register on this forum and subscribe to it.

Re: Welcome to support forum

Website is delayed... again. I have no idea when it will be ready.

Usually projects of such size are handled by companies, not by one person. I want to create a website with all functions that I want, not a quick half finished project and its way harder than I expected. So it will take a while, I have no idea how long.

Re: Welcome to support forum

As work on new version slowly continues, I've abandoned support for browsers that don't support canvas and added support for mobile devices (now I have means of testing it properly). It will take a while until new interface is on beta website. That means no more IE compatibility, but I'm not really worried because currently only 15-16% of visitors use IE.

Current beta browser requirements: any modern browser with javascript enabled. Browsers that support canvas show full editor, IE users have gimped version that works.

Browser requirements for upcoming version: any modern browser with javascript enabled that supports canvas, rounded corners (optional) and multiple backgrounds. That means:
- IE: none, it is still in stone age.
- Firefox: 3.6 or newer.
- Opera: 10.5 (not released yet. pre-alpha is available on opera website) or newer.
- Safari, Chrome: any version.

IE users will be asked to install Chrome Frame plugin (which replaces IE rendering engine with Google Chrome) or switch to a different browser, Firefox/Opera users will be asked to upgrade.

Great to read about new updates.

I'm a great fan of this project and I can't wait to see new updates go live.

I agree in not wasting time with IE...

Re: Welcome to support forum

I'm temporary locking down forums because I'm going on vacation and won't have time to moderate forums.

Website is far from being complete. Most of the website is finished, but it will take few more months before the rest of it will be complete.

I underestimated amount of work required to complete this project. My first estimate was 3-6 months, but it was a year ago and website still isn't finished. My current estimate is 3-4 more months, but I hope it will be ready sooner than that.

Re: Welcome to support forum

I'm back, but I won't be unlocking forums because I'll be replacing it with new forums within next few weeks. Why I'm going to replace forums? Because new forums will be using OpenID logins, there won't be any alternative way to login, so all current forum accounts won't work.

You can read more about OpenID at openid.net
